Come and meet other women who are breastfeeding their babies! This free drop-in group is a collaboration between Berks County Breastfeeding Coalition and Penn State Health St. Joseph that focuses on allowing breastfeeding mothers to support each other in a warm, nurturing environment. Breastfeeding mothers and their babies are welcome to drop in for a cup of tea, relax, and chat with others about what's going on as a new mom. Staff trained in lactation are available to answer any breastfeeding questions with accurate, up-to-date information. Weight checks are free. Moms and babies can come for as many weeks as they would like. This is not a place to solve big breastfeeding problems. If you are having a lot of breastfeeding issues, your situation may warrant an individual breastfeeding consult. For more info, feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Congratulations to the following employers who are now certified as Best Berks County Breastfeeding Friendly Employers of 2015!

The individual winner for their incredible personal story of pumping at work is Mallory Kercher from Reading Hospital. She is currently pumping at work for her 5 month old child and has managed to donate nearly 500 ounces of frozen milk to other moms in need. Congratulations to Mallory and to all the moms out there who are working hard to pump at work for their babies at home! We hope that next year there are even more breastfeeding friendly employers in Berks County.
We were on tv! Jeanine Dorman, Miriam Levi, and Cindy Griffith represented the coalition on Dr. Radosh's show, Medicine in the News, on April 22nd! Click HERE to see the video.
